Assessment of dewatering near a coastal protected area in the UAE
The UAE relies on desalination for drinking water supply. A new desalination plant is being developed near a coastal Ramsar protected area, so a specialist hydrogeological assessment was required to understand the impacts of construction dewatering on the site.
Aquageo developed a hydrogeological model (conceptual and numerical) to allow the regulator to assess impacts on sensitive receptors such as mangroves.
