Environmental Assessment for Island Resort, Red Sea
A single-estate luxury hotel is being re-developed on a small island off the coast of KSA, as part of the Vision 2030 tranformation to diversify the Saudi economy and enhance tourism. The island is situated in a pristine marine environment, with world class coral and a high level of sensitive marine biodiversity.
Aquageo partnered with Saudi Arabia’s foremost university, King Abdullah University of Science and technology (KAUST), to deliver environmental impact assessment for the development, focusing on the sensitive marine environment, to meet the requirements of the World Bank/International Finance Corporation Performance Standards.
